The iris is the symbol of faith, wisdom, hope, valor and cherished friendship. I’m a big fan of Van Gogh and love his many canvasses of irises which were the inspiration for this piece. Again, using a black background adds power to the gorgeous blues and greens of Youghiogheny and Kokomo art glass.
